Shadow Hills Women's Club Golf

Shadow Hills Country Club supports a very active Women’s Club that provides friendship and fun golfers, which include: 18-Hole League, 9-Hole League, Twilight League, Oregon Women’s Golf Association (OWGA),  and Valley League Team Play (VLTP).

There are three leagues that have organized golf events throughout the year. You are welcome to sign up and play in any of the leagues at a cost of $40 for each of the leagues. The payouts are in the form of Pro Shop credit.

9-Hole League
The 9-Hole women’s group plays nine holes of golf each Tuesday from Mid-March through October. Members pay $40 for the entire season of fun that includes prizes for the daily game in the form of Pro Shop credit. There are additional charges for some special events that include lunch and special prizes. Each play day features a competition such as low putts, blind holes and many others. Golfers of all skill levels are welcome and competition is handicap-adjusted.

18-Hole League
The 18-Hole League plays on Wednesday mornings from March through October of each year. There are organized individual and team events throughout the year. To participate in the events members pay $40 for the entire season. Winners are given Pro Shop credit.

Twilight Fun League
This is perfect for the women who work, as well as those who don’t. We play a 9-hole shotgun at 6:00 pm every Monday evening and enjoy a buffet dinner afterward. This is a really fun group. Play begins mid-May and ends mid-August.

Oregon Women’s Golf Association (OWGA)
The Oregon Women’s Golf Association plays 15-18 events each year at more than twenty private clubs in Oregon and Southwest Washington.  Play is for those with a USGA handicap index of 30.0 or less.  The cost is modest for the season as well as for course usage and lunch on the day of play.  Our club’s OWGA Senior Rep has all of the details. This is a great opportunity to make new golf friends and play some excellent courses including Portland Golf Club, Royal Oaks, Columbia Edgewater, Waverley, Broken Top and many others.

Valley League Team Play (VLTP)
This is a competition series among six Willamette Valley country clubs. Eight players from each club play a round-robin five event series each year. Each club selects their eight lowest handicap women available for each event. The other clubs are Corvallis, Eugene, Illahe Hills, Springfield and Spring Hill.
